How to Confirm an Access Code is Programmed on a Wyze Lock
Last updated: January 13, 2026
When using Seam to manage access codes on Wyze locks, you may want to verify that a code has actually been programmed on the physical device. This guide walks through how to check code status both in the Wyze app and through Seam.
Checking in the Wyze App
The steps vary slightly depending on which Wyze lock model you have.
Wyze Lock (with Keypad)
Open the Wyze app and tap on your Wyze Lock
Tap the gear icon to open Settings
Tap Keypad Settings → Access Codes
Look for the guest code entry in the list
Wyze Lock Bolt
Open the Wyze app and tap on your Wyze Lock Bolt
Go to Settings → Access Settings
Look for the user/code entry in the list
What You'll See
If the code was successfully programmed, you'll see the guest's name (or code name) in the list. Note that Wyze does not display the actual PIN digits after a code is created — this is a security feature. You'll only see the name and access schedule associated with the code.
If the code entry doesn't appear in the list at all, the code was not successfully programmed on the lock.
