How to Disconnect a Connected Account from Seam
Last updated: January 5, 2026
If you need to remove a device integration or access control system connection from your Seam workspace, you can disconnect the connected account through the Seam Console.
When to Disconnect an Account
You might want to disconnect a connected account when:
You no longer need access to devices from that provider
You're switching to a different account with the same provider
You're decommissioning devices or systems
Important: Disconnecting an account will remove all associated devices, access grants, and credentials from your Seam workspace. This action cannot be undone.
How to Disconnect an Account
Log into the Seam Console
Navigate to Connected Accounts in the left sidebar
Find the account you want to disconnect
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the account row
Select Delete Account
Confirm the deletion when prompted
What Happens After Disconnection
When you disconnect an account:
All devices from that account are removed from your workspace
Any active access codes or other settings will be revoked
Historical events and logs will be removed
You can reconnect the same account later if needed
Reconnecting After Disconnection
If you need to reconnect the same account:
Click + Connect Account on the Connected Accounts page
Select the same provider/brand
Complete the authentication flow with your credentials
Devices will be re-imported and you can recreate access grants as needed
