Why can't I see all my Ecobee thermostats when connecting to Seam?

If you can see thermostats in your Ecobee app but they don't appear when connecting your account to Seam, this is typically a permissions issue related to account ownership.
Understanding Ecobee account roles
Ecobee distinguishes between owners and members. The owner is the account that completed the initial setup process with the thermostat. Members are additional users who have been granted access to control the device but don't have full administrative permissions.
Only owner accounts can connect Ecobee devices to third-party integrations like Seam. If you were added as a member by someone else, those thermostats won't appear during the Seam connection process—even though you can control them in the Ecobee app.
How to resolve this
The recommended approach is to consolidate all thermostats under a single owner account. The current owner can transfer ownership to you, or you can have the owner connect their account to Seam directly.
Alternatively, if your setup requires multiple owner accounts (for example, thermostats owned by different people in separate locations), each owner will need to connect their individual ecobee account to Seam. You would then need to handle the consolidation on your end to represent a unified view of all devices.
