Yale Home App: Compatible Devices

The Yale Home app is designed for managing Yale smart locks and accessories outside of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Which App Do I Need?

  • Yale Home app - For products purchased OUTSIDE the US, Canada, and Mexico

  • Yale Access app - For US, Canada, and Mexico ONLY

  • Yale Connect app - For Latin America (not supported by Seam)

Europe & UK

Linus L2

  • Retrofit smart lock for Euro cylinder locks

  • Smaller, quieter, faster than original Linus

  • Bluetooth built-in, requires Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge for remote access

  • Battery: 4 x AA batteries (6-9 months typical)

Linus L2 Lite (New 2025)

  • Compact version with Matter over Thread support

  • Works with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa

  • Battery: 3 x CR123

Conexis L2

  • For multi-point locking systems (lift-to-lock doors)

  • Includes Yale Access Module and Connect Wi-Fi Bridge

  • Works with key tags, key cards, phone tags

  • Cannot be locked remotely (due to lift-to-lock mechanism)

Nordic Countries

Doorman L3

  • Weather-resistant for Nordic climates (IP55 rated)

  • Built-in doorbell (models 7 and 10)

  • Designed for Scandinavian door types

  • May require Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge for remote access

Doorman (earlier models)

  • May require Yale LockBridge module for connectivity

Australia, Asia Pacific, Middle East

What it does:

  • Enables remote access from anywhere

  • Sends real-time notifications

  • Allows guest access management when away

  • Enables voice assistant integration (Google Assistant, Alexa)

  • Doorman series

  • Smart Cabinet Locks

  • Smart Safes

  • Any lock with Yale Access Module installed

Note: One bridge can support multiple locks. The newer Yale ConnectX Wi-Fi Bridge supports up to 4 devices and uses 24% less power than the original.

Yale Access Module

The Yale Access Module is a hardware accessory that adds smart connectivity to compatible Yale locks, enabling them to work with the Yale Home app.

Compatible with:

  • Conexis L1

  • Keyless Connected Smart Locks

  • Various Asian/Middle Eastern Yale models

  • Older Yale locks being upgraded

Important: The Yale Access Module requires the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge for remote access.

What the Yale Home App Does

  • Lock/unlock remotely (with Wi-Fi Bridge)

  • Create and manage guest access codes

  • Monitor who comes and goes (activity history)

  • Receive real-time notifications

  • Auto-unlock as you approach your door

  • Auto-lock after specified time

  • Integrate with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa

Z-Wave Products

  • Yale Real Living Locks with Z-Wave - Require Z-Wave hub (SmartThings, Ring, etc.)

  • Conexis L1 with Z-Wave module - Works with hub app, not Yale Home app

  • Z-Wave locks do not work with Yale Home app

  • Look for "Yale Home" or "Compatible with Yale Home" branding

  • Check the app requirement listed on the box

  • Euro cylinder compatibility = likely Linus

  • Multi-point lock compatibility = likely Conexis
