Why don't access codes set through Seam appear in the Kwikset app?

Context
You may notice that access codes created through Seam's API appear as active in the Seam console but are not visible in the Kwikset mobile app. This can cause confusion when trying to verify that codes have been properly set on the lock.
Answer
Access codes set through external sources like Seam will not appear in the Kwikset app unless you are connected to the lock via Bluetooth. When connected through Wi-Fi only, the Kwikset app displays only the access codes that were created directly within the app itself.
To view Seam-created access codes in the Kwikset app:
Open the Kwikset app on your mobile device
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device
Connect to your lock via Bluetooth (not just Wi-Fi)
Once connected via Bluetooth, all access codes including those set through Seam will be visible
This behavior is by design in the Kwikset system and does not indicate that the codes are not working on the physical lock. Access codes created through Seam are fully functional even when not visible in the Kwikset app during Wi-Fi-only connections.
